What’s your favorite springtime activity?  For me, it’s getting my fishing boat and fishing tackle ready to hit the water.

Recently, Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron were featured in the secular news media, debating with aetheists over the existence of God.  If it were up to you, how would you prove the existence of God?

Greg’s Blog

Hi, I’m Greg Schmitke. Welcome to my corner of the KFNW blog.  I’d also like to invite you to join me every Monday through Friday from 6-9 p.m. on Life 97.9 for “An Evening in the Valley”. We’ll enjoy some of your favorite music, plus we get to listen to “Adventures in Odyssey” from 8-8:30 p.m. I don’t know about you, but I’ve found that just about as many adults enjoy “Adventures in Odyssey” as kids. It’s a great program for the whole family. At any age, it teaches important life lessons.
From time to time, I’ll have some giveaways for you, and we’ll always have great music with a solid gospel message.
Whether you’re wrapping up your day, you’re at your job, or you’re doing homework, I hope you’ll join me for “An Evening in the Valley”, every Monday through Friday from 6-9 p.m. on Life 97.9.  Welcome to the blog, and feel free to share a comment or two while you’re here.

In the summer of 2005 my son was with his dad over 6 hours away, and I was becoming more and more depressed by the day. In July of that year I gave my life to the Lord, and was able to receive God’s Word on a daily basis by listening to KFNW 97.9 in my vehicle and 1200 AM in my home, as you hadn’t added the Fergus translator yet. But wherever I could, I listened and was fed by the powerful music that ministered to me on a minute-to-minute basis. After my son came home at the end of August, he gave his life to the Lord, a choice he made after seeing the change in me. He had his mommy back and we have Jesus to thank for it. Now I listen every day, all day at work. The only time the radio isn’t on KFNW at home is when we’re sleeping. Thank you KFNW for giving my daily nourishment of God’s Word thru the powerful songs and messages throughout the day. God bless you all!
